A potent disturbance off of the southeast Florida coast is forecast to move northward approaching the Georgia or Carolina coastline on Wednesday. The forecast models are currently not in agreement as to whether this disturbance will develop into something more substantial or if it will simply bring the threat of heavy rain and or thunderstorms Thursday into Friday.

Three Gorgeous Days Followed by Oppressive Humidity

The next three days will be absolutely stunning across the northern Mid-Atlantic states!  Tuesday through Thursday will feature mostly sunny skies as high temperatures begin to climb out of the 60s (on Tuesday and Wednesday) and into the 70s by Thursday with low humidity.

The image above (courtesy Pivotal Weather) shows dew points rising into the upper 60s to near the 70 degree mark as we head into the weekend.

By Friday high pressure will anchor itself off of the Carolina coast switching the winds from the south and southwest (from the Gulf of Mexico) increasing our humidity. Cancel your trip to Valdosta, GA – their nasty humidity will be moving our way beginning Friday afternoon through the upcoming weekend and likely into next week.
