Snow to Start for DC Metro before Wintry Mix and Rain

Heavy Snow will break out on Sunday afternoon continuing through the evening before a change over to sleet and freezing rain in DC.

Locations along and east of interstate 95 will likely see a period of heavy rain after some initial snow, sleet and freezing rain as temperatures are forecast to warm above freezing. Rain/wintry mix will end as snow on Monday morning.
