Rain Moves Back into the DC Region on Friday
Rain will develop across the DC Region on Friday, becoming heavy at times during the afternoon. Rainfall totals of 1 to 3 inches are likely with locally higher amounts possible. The latest NAM model (image below) shows heavy rain developing during the afternoon rush hour.

Potential Rainfall Totals
A widespread one to two inches of rain is expected with some locations picking upwards of 3 to 4″ where the heaviest rains “train” or move over the same areas.
The weekend will be a 50/50 split with scattered showers on Saturday and partly sunny skies expected on Sunday. High temperatures both days will remain seasonal with lower to mid 60s expected.
