Scattered Storms Possible on Wednesday… Stronger Storms Possible Thursday

A disturbance is forecast to cross the DC Region during the late afternoon hours on Wednesday.  The combination of the heat and increasing humidity may aid in the development of some scattered storms.

Scattered Storms may fire between 5 and 8 PM on Wednesday across the Washington Metropolitan Area

A strong cold front will approach the area late Thursday evening producing a better chance of showers and thunderstorms. A few storms may be strong with small hail and damaging wind gusts being the primary threat.

Cooling off Friday, Gorgeous Weekend Ahead

Friday will be breezy and much cooler with temperatures holding in the lower to mid 60s.  Skies will likely remain mostly cloudy with some scattered showers possible as a trough (dip in the jet stream) scoots across the area.

The upcoming weekend is looking nice with mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the 60s/70s.
