The image below (courtesy pivotal weather) shows temperatures anomalies (departure from average) Thursday afternoon through Tuesday, 30 March.
Thursday will be noticeably warm with highs reaching the mid to upper 60s.
Friday is currently looking like the warmest day of the week with high temperatures reaching the middle to upper 70s. A few locations away from the Potomac or Chesapeake Bay may reach 80 degrees!
Don’t get used to the May/June like warmth because a strong cold front is forecast to move through the region on Sunday evening ushering in a quick shot of below average temperatures.
Keep in mind before you plant any sensitive plants that our average last freeze occurs April 15th in the District.
