Light Mix Monday Morning In DC

A front will move through the Washington Area during the morning rush hour producing a period of snow, sleet and rain. The image below (courtesy PivotalWx) shows the precipitation beginning between 7 and 9am in DC, clearing our region between 1pm and 3pm.

The next image shows a trend all winter of any accumulations of snow remaining north and west of the District.

Still, with temperatures near freezing any sleet or snow that falls along the Interstate 66 corridor of northern Virginia or route 50 in Maryland could produce some slick spots on untreated secondary roadways.
