Watching Tropical Storm ETA Closely for Potential US Impacts

The weather will improve Tuesday through Friday as high pressure takes control over the eastern United States. Temperatures will moderate while all eyes will turn to the Caribbean Sea as some of the ensemble forecast models are indicating that Tropical Storm ETA may get pulled northward towards Cuba or into the Florida Strait late week.  The image below is from the latest European Ensemble Prediction System (EPS), courtesy WxBell.

The latest American Global Ensemble Forecast System (GEFS) agrees with the European model that either ETA or a new system may develop in the Caribbean and possible move toward Cuba or the Florida Strait.

This is definitely something to watch closely during the next 10 days.
