The next three days will be absolutely stunning across the northern Mid-Atlantic states! Tuesday through Thursday will feature mostly sunny skies as high temperatures begin to climb out of the 60s (on Tuesday and Wednesday) and into the 70s by Thursday with low humidity.
The image above (courtesy Pivotal Weather) shows dew points rising into the upper 60s to near the 70 degree mark as we head into the weekend.
By Friday high pressure will anchor itself off of the Carolina coast switching the winds from the south and southwest (from the Gulf of Mexico) increasing our humidity. Cancel your trip to Valdosta, GA – their nasty humidity will be moving our way beginning Friday afternoon through the upcoming weekend and likely into next week.

I’ll also be watching with interest whether a tropical disturbance forms east of Florida early next week. Hurricane season is just around the corner, officially beginning in June.
