Snow will break out across the DC Region on Saturday afternoon, mixing with sleet and changing over to Rain south and east of Washington. Wet Snow should continue across our northern and western suburbs through much of the event with one to two inches of accumulation possible. The ground is warm and that will definitely cut back on accumulation potential with this event. This will be a very wet snow and should stick to trees and elevated surfaces pretty well. Accumulations of up to a half-foot are possible across the highest elevations of the Blue Ridge and across northern portions of Frederick and Carroll counties in Maryland.
