Will it be rain or snow or both? Some sleet? Way too early to speculate.

Bottom Line: The pattern remains active, it is winter, February is our snowiest month… there’s always hope for those of us who want a big snow storm (one that drops a foot or more). Snow lovers should wait until the end of March to go on antidepressants.

    Here we go again! One aspect that makes it seem plausible is that the Greenland/Baffin Bay block that shows up in so many analogs appears for this storm. It would be nice if the trough over the Southwest could come out cleaner, but am not complaining about the GFS solution.
